I really love to look for hidden beauty in nature and the outdoors. On a hike with my 2 kids I came across this old tree stump. Birds and other creatures had eaten away at this standing sentinel but it resolved to be vibrant and alive with color.
This is my joy. To wander around like a child in a scavenger hunt looking for hidden objects that put together reveals a previously unseen treasure.
This photograph was taken in Mazama Washington home of many trees and outdoor activities. This trail in the winter is a wonderland of ice and snow. In the spring you can wander here and see flowers and plants awakening from their long sleep. The trees are just now starting to perk up and fill out their branches with leaves. We are able to enjoy this outdoor beauty and are grateful to live in such a gorgeous area.
